Latanya Washington is a distinguished leader in the field of Organizational Development, with a specialized focus on Change Management, Training, Communication and Culture Transformation. With over two decades of experience, Latanya's expertise is recognized globally, having led transformative initiatives and training programs in 14 countries across North America, Latin America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Her approach is rooted in fostering agility and a continuous learning mindset. As a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Latanya excels in change strategy, program building, change communications, and promotes Learning in the Flow of Work.

In her current role at Sompo, Latanya leads the Training  & Communication efforts for the North America COO team. Her tenure at Sompo is marked by innovative strategies in communication, upskilling and training. Her ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, engaging ideas has inspired stakeholders to embrace change and act. Her commitment to inclusivity, resilience, and growth helps to guide organizations through the complexities of change and unlock staff’s full potential.

Eunice Terry joined Sompo in 2021 and is setting a new standard for sharing information.  She is leveraging technology, communication and microlearning to provide learning in the flow of work.  She leads the North America Insurance Operations UW Onboarding Program and is committed to using Human-Centered Leadership to influence the way we communicate with the teams we support and our NAIO colleagues.

 

Eunice has served as Business Analyst and Technology Trainer and holds a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University.

Deanna Young is an accomplished professional with a career spanning over 23 years in the insurance industry. She has been with Sompo for nearly 9 years and her current role is the Senior Underwriting Technician Team Lead for the Middle Markets business unit. Her previous experience includes tenures at The Hartford and Travelers, each for seven years.

Outside the professional arena, Deanna is a devoted family person, cherishing moments with her two children and a grandbaby. Her zest for life is evident in her passion for traveling and her love for good food. She also enjoys hiking, shopping, attending plays, and soaking in the atmosphere at outdoor concerts.

Magali was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and began her journey in the insurance industry during high school, where she developed a strong interest in underwriting. In 2015, she joined Liberty Mutual as an Underwriting Assistant in the Middle Market segment and went on to hold multiple roles within the company, ultimately becoming an Underwriter focused on target segments such as manufacturing, distribution, and professional services. In 2020, she relocated to Los Angeles, California, where she initially worked as a generalist underwriter before transitioning in 2021 to specialize in Technology Risks, writing package lines with Tech E&O. In December 2023, she joined SOMPO as a Large Casualty Underwriter to help expand the West Territory.

I grew up in the Bay Area before moving to Orange County where I attended Chapman University. I currently live in Santa Monica with a couple friends from college. Amanda Matthaei has been with W. Brown/Sompo for 23 years, starting in a clerical role before advancing to underwriting assistant (UA) and eventually becoming an underwriter three years ago. Throughout her tenure, she has achieved steady career growth and is eager to continue expanding her skills and embracing new challenges.

 

Miranda Benjamin-Allen 

Miranda Benjamin-Allen is a seasoned insurance and financial services professional with over a decade of experience in regulatory compliance and product development. Currently serving as AVP Product Specialist at Sompo, she collaborates with legal and compliance teams in the development of property and casualty lines forms across the U.S. and Canada.

 

With a strong background in compliance, underwriting support, and workflow optimization, Miranda has held key roles at Mitsui Sumitomo, Chubb, and MetLife, ensuring regulatory approvals and process efficiency. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Kean University and excels in research, training, and strategic communication within the insurance industry

 

Channy San Gil

Channy San Gil is a  dedicated and driven underwriting assistant with over a decade of experience in the insurance industry, she has spent the past four years at Sompo International, excelling in her role within the E&S Casualty department. Her proficiency in  addressing underwriters' needs has been instrumental in managing a diverse book of business. She consistently fosters strong relationships with brokers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. Her commitment to providing exceptional customer service and thriving in team environments has not only enhanced operational efficiency but also contributed to the department's success and growth.

 

Camille Carnes

Camille Carnes currently serves as Vice President Underwriting Support Manager for Property North America at Sompo. With a robust foundation in the insurance industry, Camille has consistently demonstrated her ability to manage and optimize property operations. Her professional journey reflects a combination of strategic insight and practical experience, enabling her to effectively enhance operational efficiency.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Camille enjoys reading and volunteering with Atlanta Lab Rescue, a local dog rescue organization. These activities enrich her perspective and contribute to her holistic approach to both life and work.
